There we switch to a slow boat to venture into a narrow channel surrounded by lush vegetation<\/strong>, where the jungle opens up around you and you can observe its abundant plant and animal life up close<\/strong>. After a walk of about 45 minutes we reach Lake San Roque<\/strong>, one of the most special settings of the journey: here we have lunch, paddle out by canoe<\/strong>, try our luck at fishing<\/strong> and look for the large caimans that live in its waters<\/strong>. As night falls, a night walk reveals another side of the jungle<\/strong>, full of sounds and creatures that only come out in the dark.<\/p>\n

On day two we head deep into the Amazon rainforest on foot to spot birds and wildlife<\/strong>, until we stand before the towering giant ceiba<\/strong>, one of the most iconic trees of the Amazon. That night we sleep at a jungle camp<\/strong> and set out on a caiman-spotting excursion<\/strong>, one of the most thrilling experiences of the trip: searching for caimans in their natural habitat alongside our guide.<\/p>\n

On day three we return to Chiner\u00eda to share time with the Indigenous community<\/strong>, learn about their way of life and take part in a handicraft workshop<\/strong>. In the afternoon comes one of the most anticipated moments: spotting pink river dolphins<\/strong>, the symbol of the Amazon. We then sail to Puerto Alegr\u00eda<\/strong>, where we spend our last night at the Irapai cabins. On the final morning, depending on your flight time, we visit Monkey Island<\/strong> to watch these primates in their natural surroundings before returning to the Leticia boardwalk.<\/p>\n
