Hike through Cocora Valley, fall in love with Salento’s charm, and discover the colors and authenticity of Filandia. A complete journey through the heart of Quindío!

Enjoy a full day of wonder, culture, and breathtaking nature with our “Valle del Cocora (3h hike) + Salento & Filandia Towns Full Day Tour”,a complete experience that brings together three iconic gems of the Quindío region. From cloud forests and wax palms to colorful colonial towns and vibrant coffee culture, this adventure is the perfect blend of landscapes, history, and tradition. The journey begins in Salento, in front of the Church “Parroquia del Carmen”, where your certified local guide will welcome you and begin a day you’ll never forget.

We’ll head out in  transport with full availability toward the magnificent Cocora Valley, one of Colombia’s most beloved natural landmarks. Once there, you’ll take a short, low-to-moderate difficulty hike, entering through the Quebradas Cárdenas trailhead, where the misty forest and birdsong surround you in a magical atmosphere. You’ll continue to the Valle de Palmas Viewpoint, where you’ll witness towering wax palms, Colombia’s national tree, rising over 60 meters above lush Andean hills. Your guide will share insights into the cloud forest ecosystem, the valley’s importance to local biodiversity, and its environmental significance to the Coffee Region.

After immersing yourself in nature, we return to Salento, a picturesque colonial town famous for its colorful balconies, artisan shops, and vibrant streets. We’ll walk through Calle Real, visit the main square, and learn about the town’s history, including its connection to Colombia’s coffee-growing heritage. You’ll also enjoy a local traditional snack, a perfect mid-day break to recharge and keep exploring.

From there, we head to Filandia, a lesser-known but equally magical town that will surprise you with its charm. Rich in culture and authenticity, Filandia is known for its beautifully restored Republican architecture, quiet streets, and proud coffee traditions. We’ll visit the Mirador de Filandia, offering sweeping panoramic views of coffee valleys and distant mountains. Your guide will explain how sustainable tourism has helped preserve Filandia’s identity and supported the local community.

By the end of the day, we return to Salento with your heart and mind full of memories, stunning photographs, and a deeper connection to Colombia’s nature and culture. This tour is ideal for travelers who want to discover the best of Quindío in a single day: culture, history, gastronomy and tradition, guided by local experts who bring each place to life with knowledge, passion, and warmth.
