Recommendations
- Bring plenty of water or your preferred hydration. The tropical climate and walking trails can make you feel thirsty, especially during warmer hours.
- Wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking. The experience includes walking through natural trails with uneven and sometimes sandy or rocky terrain.
- Wear light, comfortable clothing. We recommend breathable clothes suitable for the tropical Caribbean climate.
- Bring your swimsuit and a change of clothes. You will have time to enjoy the beach and swim in the Caribbean waters.
- Bring sunscreen and insect repellent. You will spend several hours outdoors between the beach, jungle and trails.
- A hat or cap is highly recommended to protect yourself from the Caribbean sun.
- Bring a small backpack. Avoid carrying unnecessary luggage during the boat ride and the walk through the park.
- Protect your phone and electronic devices. A waterproof bag or protective case is recommended during the speedboat ride and around the beach.
- Be prepared for changing weather conditions. Tayrona is a tropical destination, so light rain can occur. The tour generally continues in light rain, but conditions may require itinerary changes for safety.
- Follow your guide’s instructions when swimming. Ocean conditions can change, so always respect designated swimming areas and safety recommendations.
